Collections
Our collections and related services focus on teaching and research in Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Social Anthropology, and the broader HSPS Tripos. As a result, they can very diverse as well as being very specialised.
For information about the physical books and other resources that we have on our shelves in the Haddon Library, have a look at our Physical Collections page.
We've got lots of online resources that you can access from wherever you are such as ebooks, ejournals and other digital media. Our Online Resources page explains more.
Many libraries have what are referred to as Special Collections - these may be things that are old or rare such as our historic book collection or a bit more bespoke such as our Teaching Collection. Explore our Special Collections page to learn more.
Our collections are as rich and diverse as the areas that people are working on so we value recommendations and book purchase requests through our dedicated form.
Working out how to organise a library is an artform in its own right and the Haddon Library has several classification schemes that we use to arrange our books. To understand how they work, as well as their limitations, we've explained everything in our Classification Schemes pages.
