You can access most ebooks on iDiscover using your Raven credentials. However, under the terms of the University Library's legal deposit status, some ebooks on iDiscover say 'Electronic Legal Deposit.' You must read such ebooks on designated computers at the University Library or participating faculty libraries (the Haddon Library and Seeley Library have such designated computers).

With Electronic Legal Deposit books

  • only one concurrent user of a text throughout the University Library and its affiliated libraries can use the ebook at a time
  • you may not make digital copies (i.e. no downloading, emailing, copying and pasting or screenshots)
  • you may not take photographs of the PC screen
  • you may, however, print portions of the book within normal copyright limits (i.e. one chapter or 10%, whichever is greater)

We are happy to show you how to use the designated terminal in the library, and there is a guide to electronic legal deposit books that explains their status and regulations.
