Haddon Library

Meet the Haddon Library Team

The Haddon Library space and services are managed and supported by our dedicated library team. We collaborate on everything from making sure the best resources are available for teaching and research through to making sure our space is welcoming and comfortable.

Whether you're using our services in person or online, we're here to support you in your studying, teaching and research activities. If you want to get in touch with us all at once, you can email us on: haddon@lib.cam.ac.uk

George Cronin (they/them)

Academic Services Librarian

I look after the strategic aspects of the Haddon Library and do lots of work with our fantastic communities in Archaeology, Social Anthropology and across the wider School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

In addition to supporting Tom and Ian in making sure the Library is working really well, I teach study and research skills to our undergraduate, MPhil and PhD students, as well as supporting the variety of research taking place across our School.

When not in the Library, I can be found gaming or hiking around the stunning Norfolk landscape.

Tom Hawthorn (he/him)

Senior Library Assistant

I spend most of my time at the issue desk, helping readers with borrowing books and any questions about the Library.  I also order books, pay invoices, stamp and catalogue new books and journals, and do other admin work.

I have a personal interest in the archaeology and history of the ancient Mediterranean world.

Ian Trowell (he/him)

Library Assistant

I am on the front desk and here to help you with general enquiries and issuing books. I maintain the reading room and collections as a working space, and also have responsibility for previous dissertations and current reading lists.

I have an interest in working class popular heritage.
