Reserved study space during Easter Term 2026
The Haddon Library is a really popular space which is something we're really proud of! However, we are aware that this means that finding a place to study during Easter Term can be challenging.
In response to feedback, we are trialling a new service whereby our McBurney Room (on our second floor) is reserved for use only by students taking Archaeology and/or Social Anthropology papers.
If you are a student taking a different subject, you are more than welcome to continue using the Haddon Library during this term, but we ask that you take advantage of our main Reading Room. The bookable acoustic booth in the McBurney Room will still be available for use by anyone who needs it.
We would also like to reminder folks to not reserve spaces for long periods of time with personal belongings. Our study spaces are in high demand plus there is a risk of your belongings being moved or taken when you are not with them.
As this is a trial, we are open to feedback throughout this term about how things are working. You can tell us in person, via email, or through our annual library survey which will launch later in May.
Good luck with this term!
